After graduation, Zhang Lin worked at a large maritime law firm in China, engaged in business related to shipping and shipbuilding/ship financing.

Afterwards, Lawyer Zhang joined a top international maritime law firm in 2009, engaged in work related to shipbuilding, maritime cargo transportation (bill of lading/charter), marine insurance, ship collision, energy, international trade, foreign investment, and litigation/arbitration.

Lawyer Zhang has extensive experience in the field of shipbuilding/ship financing in both the Chinese and British markets, and has also accumulated considerable experience in dispute resolution and arbitration/litigation in maritime affairs. He has represented numerous Chinese companies in initiating and participating in arbitration proceedings in London, Norway, Bergen, Italy, and Stockholm, Sweden, as well as representing ship owners, cargo owners, and cargo insurers in Chinese courts.
